Greece - Halikidki

by Susie Howard

I was drawn to visit this resort with my family in August 2004, after sending a number of clients there personally, and having great feedback; I really felt the need to check this wonderful resort out for myself!

We flew to the mainland (Thessaloniki) from Manchester and then were privately transferred to the Sani Beach Club, which is set within the prestigious Sani Resort - located within a secluded indigo bay, overlooking Mount Olympus and the Aegean Sea.

I was not disappointed  - this 1000-acre family owned ecological reserve with lush evergreen landscapes, pine forests, olive groves and turquoise waters was a feast to the eye.  It is located at Kassandra, one of Halkidiki's three peninsulas and is a mecca for beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.  The beach and waters here have been officially recognised with the award of three prestigious EU-Blue Flags.

There are four hotel options at the Sani Resort, all of which cater for the different individual needs of the client; the Sani Beach Club is great for families as there is a long stretch of beach in front of the hotel which gently shelves into the sea, making it really safe for families to bathe in.  I also loved the facilities here - tennis courts are on site, you can hire mountain bikes, watch a movie in the open air, learn to dive at the Padi Diving School and at the watersports station you can windsurf, waterski or even hire a canoe!

All the properties can be reached by a little shuttle bus, which takes you down to the marina or to the other three hotels - the Sani Beach Hotel, Porto Sani Village (an all-suite hotel) and the ultimate in luxury - Sani Asterias Suites.

As you can probably tell, I really cannot put into words just how much I enjoyed this fantastic resort and would love to tell you more..... please call me or pop into our offices for a personal consultation.
