Egypt - Taba Heights

Club Med have been pioneers in the art of the All Inclusive holiday for over 60 years and their popularity goes from strength to strength, with new resorts opening and re-investment in existing ones.

I had never experienced Club Med, or an All Inclusive resort, so was delighted to be given the opportunity  to see what it's all about!

Club Med Sinai Bay is sandwiched between two rugged peaks over looking the Red Sea. The resort opened in October 2010 and is scattered among lush gardens which give the feeling of a village, rather than resort.

I stayed in the lead room category, which are called Club rooms. These are spacious, stylish and comfortable. The maximum occupancy is 3 guests, but they do have interconnecting rooms and family Club rooms. There are Deluxe rooms and a 5 star area called L'Oasis, which comprises 14 amazing detached suites over 3 floors. This is a totally private area, with its own pool and concierge. It also offers an enhanced All Inclusive experience.

For activity junkies, Club Med has it all and I was particularly impressed with the array of sports, both on land and water. You will also find exemplary child care facilities, with clubs offered to children from 4 months to 17 years old. Evenings offer shows or you can find plenty of places to escape for quiet drinks and a chilled end to the day.

Would I recommend Club Med? The answer is yes. It's well run, and does represent value for money. Perfect for families and good for sporty couples who don't mind being around children!
